This particular coat type
is self explanatory. The coat should be smooth, short, and sleek. It should
be free from upturned hairs and the mouse should have a healthy looking
coat. This is the most common coat type and can be paired with other coat
types such as Satin, Rex, and Frizzy. This particular coat type is dominant
and is the original coat type of mice.
This coat type is represented by a lack
of longhair (gogo). However, if a mouse is Standard, it is often left
out of the phenotype when written by a fancier.
This particular variety is common among
fanciers, but not very popular.. However, many fanciers try to breed it
in a Satin or Rex coat to make the mouse more desirable. This variety
can be found through pet stores and breeders alike. It is recommended
that you obtain a healthy specimen through a breeder.
